It's Spring! Let's Decorate!
By Victoria Azusa Lockwood, Fri Dec 9th

Spring has returned, and its arrival brings with it thoughts ofcolors, textures and smells associated with the notion ofrebirth and renewal.

For some people, a seasonal change instinctively signals theneed for a change in their interior décor. Other people aredisinclined or unable to make more frequent changes, so springis a time to make annual home or interior décor revisions andmodifications.

These days, there are a great number of people who feel the needfor change, but believe that they have less time to devote tosuch undertakings. In recent years, the idea of simply changingthe arrangement of furniture rather than taking on a completeredecorating project has found popularity.

Many have discovered that simply changing the layout of theirfurnishings at least once a year can actually help to improveone’s mental outlook, ability to keep surroundings organized anduncluttered, and enhance a sense of comfort and satisfactionwith one’s environment. Whatever the case, the onset of Springis as good a reason as any to spruce up your decorating scheme, whether that involves making a few simple changes to reflect theseason, or re-evaluating your entire interior design.

When contemplating a decorating project, some of us “regularfolk” discover that we are uncomfortable with making décorchanges. We feel that we’re not actually qualified to do so, orthat we lack the basic skills in making choices that willproduce the desired outcome. But oftentimes, our fears areunfounded.

As you contemplate decorating options, keep in mind thatchanging your décor doesn’t have to be a long, complicated orexpensive endeavor, even when you seek professional assistance. And, you can accomplish remarkable changes in your home andinterior décor using two relatively simple tools: paint andaccessories.

What Are the Seven Myths of Enterprise Architecture?
Believe just one of these and your Enterprise Architecture project could be troubled from the start.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/webworldtech/~4/76692402"/>

the world of interior decorating, paint and accessories aretwo of the most evident tools used in creating wonderful spaces.Paint color helps to set a baseline from which to develop anentire decorating scheme, and changing wall colors is an easyand very inexpensive way to completely alter the nuance of aroom or space.

Think of the room or space you are decorating as a human body.(This analogy isn’t new, or particularly brilliant, but helps toillustrate the point.) The human body has a basic framework orskeleton. That skeleton serves as the base upon which all elseis structured and built, until finally a desirable end productis achieved in the human body form.

When decorating a space, the “skeleton” consists of the walls ofthe space along with the basic pieces of furniture that havebeen chosen for the room. Beginning with these items, using themas your base, you continue to build your décor layer by layer, until you reach your final, desired product.

By cleverly adding accessories to the basic framework of yourdesign plans, you embellish your color scheme, and ad texture toyour so that it becomes three-dimensional. In doing so,you are able to achieve a complete and desirable transformationof the space. The neat trick to this is that by simply changingyour room color and accessories, you have created an entirelydifferent space from the one with which you started.

A new lamp, decorative pillows, re-framed artwork, coloredvases, new fabric. All of these can be used collectively toinfuse your interior decorating, bringing the different elementsof your décor together. The end result is that you breathe newlife into your interior design.

So welcome Spring without trepidation. Embrace the opportunityto create something new and different. You never know. Otherwonderful changes may follow. What are you waiting for?
